This application introduces students to the interdisciplinary and advocacy approach to Labor Studies with a particular emphasis on the employment relationship.

Exploring labor’s role in society, the lectures look at how unions have changed the lives of working people and contributed to better social policies as well as highlight the relationship of our work lives to our non-work lives. The 30 lectures are written from the worker’s point of view and the social justice perspective.

Corresponding to each lecture is a multiple-choice test designed to test the student’s knowledge of each lecture’s material. Guide to Labor Studies can be used as a stand-alone guide or an accompaniment for any instructor teaching courses on labor, society, class, or the employment relationship.
